As they have promised, mountain boarders from Novi Sad, manage to pull out yeat another greate mountain board cross event, even better than last year's one.

Now a quite know in this region Slobodan "Boba" Banovic i Predrag "Marc" Marcikic atb club "ATB SERBIA", from Novi Sad - Serbia, two of owers best mountain borders, manage to organize board cross competition for boarders came from several countries: Romania, Czech and Bulgaria of course local dirt shredders were there too .

Borders were racing down the sweet atb board cross track (~700m), that has been under construction for last two seasons. Track is located in hills of mountain "Fruska Gora", 5km out from city Novi Sad, in place called Bukovac. Very important thing to mention is that this track is brought to reality solely by few people from club "ATB SRBIA", and you could count them on fingers of your one hand. When you see thing this way, you will realise the amount off efort put into building this cool track, not to mention struggles to organise a race comp in this recession period , from your own pocket. But, after this year's race all agreed on one, cours is fenomenal and rare thing in this part of Europe.

Now about races. Competition format remain the same as last year, first everyone goes down individuali against the clock. Based on this individual results race pairs are assembled, one on one. Winner goes to next round.

Here stops all resemblance to last year comp. Favorites fulfilled acceptations, aldou final standings are different from those last time. We had local rookies showing some skills, boarder from Bulgaria Niki, turned out as a pleasant surprise. While Boba i Marc (ATB SERBIA) dialed in their stuff and took two podium spots. Slobodan Banovic first place, after winning over Predrag Marcikic in final. Battle for 3rd want on between Dan Marcu(ATB W.T.F) from Romania and Bogdan "Bobi" Rusu(ATB W.T.F), also from Romania. Unfortunately Bobi crashed in this run and injured his elbow. Medics were at the spot, Bobi was taken care off, and driven to hospital later on ( fast recovery Bobi !!!!).

After finals, and brief rain stopped, medals were presented to this years podium winners. Boba winner, was avoured with nice new deck from Czech sponsors. Then everybody went to mountain motel in Bukovac, two miles from track, there was pot of local dish called Gulas (Goulash) waiting on hungry mountain boarders, made by local " gulas master chefs " as we like to call them.

Under clear night sky with nice fire thing going and tasty goulash, people begin exchenging thouts about event, late into the evening. What to say, guys were stoked to come next year, can't wait. But they will have to, until next summer and then back in hills of Bukovac in even greater numbers, for peace of that sweet dirt and some spicy goulash.
